Optimum’s Tread Reporting solution is an industry leading solution to help Automotive, Motorcycle, Trucks, RV, Trailer and Tire manufacturers meet their statutory reporting requirement as per the TREAD Act. The Transportation Recall Enhancement Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act was enacted in 2001 to help the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) develop an early warning system to reduce vehicle related crashes and prevent injuries and save lives.
The Tread Act requires all vehicle manufacturers to submit quarterly reports summarizing Production data, Warranty Claims, Field Reports, Consumer Complaints and report any accident that led to death or injury. Further, the Act required manufacturers to provide NHTSA with details of external communications and recall notifications.
